I'm Leah Barber, and today I'm talking with Roxy Lowe, bike designer for Ibis.

We're going to see how she went from designing housewares at Pottery Barn

to designing the Ibis mojo, the Ripmo, and all the bikes in between.

Word on the street was, you were an industrial designer, right?

Yes.

Well, were you an industrial designer first or a mountain biker first?

Industrial designer first.

Oh, so give us a little bit of background into how you went from like industrial design

into, well, you're the bike designer for ibus

how the heck did that happen so i believe that from your industrial design background you tend to

work on process and different products and so i spent most of my i guess out- school instruction, self-instruction, learning about products and how to make them.

And so first was kind of like tech stuff.

So anything from computer, like those old CRT block monitors.

Like the Apple computer that you had to pick up the whole thing.

But unfortunately, I didn't get Apple.

I was in some other brands.

But then I got into housewares at Pottery Barn.

And then I got into more consulting with different brands and like understanding
