Summary

Ian Worrall, founder of Mybit.io, discusses the need to begin purchasing automated machinery, how it works to create a profit for investors, and the future of this platform.
As autonomous machines become more capable of doing work that is currently produced by humans, job displacement around the world will grow. At the same time, these types of automated machinery can be very expensive, limiting entrance to these markets to large companies.
Mybit.io's solution is to crowdfund the ownership of, and investment in, different projects, so that individuals and small companies around the world can also share in the revenue created by these machines, thereby democratizing the market.
Tests are scheduled to begin in 2018 with solar power and real estate development. In the future, Mybit.io believes that this platform could work for any machine connected to the Internet–commercial farming, construction, or warehouse machinery, delivery drones, 3D printers, crypto-currency ATMs, and more.
