Let me open up our text for today. You can see I got a new Bible. I got a new Bible and

it's large letters. It's happening. It's happening.

Philippians 3, verse 10 is going to be our text today, and we're going to read just five verses of that.

But really, if I could have, I would have loved to read the whole chapter to us to really put it into context.

But Philippians 3, verse 10 is where we're going to go for the start. This is Paul talking. It's right to the church of Philippi, and he says this.

It says, I want to know Christ, yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation

in his sufferings,

becoming like him in his death and so somehow attain into the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all of this or have already arrived at my goal,

but I press on to take hold on for which Christ took hold of me.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.

But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining forward to what is ahead,

I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ

Jesus. Grab this verse. All of us then, who are mature, should take such a view of things.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for who you are. Lord, we thank you that you are the king and kings and the Lord of Lords,

and there is none like you, God.

And we have come here, Lord, not to hear from a man, but to hear from you.

Lord, do what only you can do in this place.

Well, you're the one who changes and transforms people,

not by behavior modification, but by heart transformation. So, God, I pray for a softening in hearts this morning, an awakening
