I'm once again joined with my good friend Doug Hagerin. Hey Doug.

Blubla, just kidding. I'm doing well, Kirk. How are you doing today?

Doing great. Let's dive right in. I want to start with a good story because that's the headline of my

episode here, which is I went fishing and caught a monster. I'm going to show this picture because

it was hilarious. I didn't know what this fish was. I'm going to show you all because it's

crazy-looking

thing. So I went fishing with family friends and we end up catching this fish. And one of my boys

caught it. We actually caught a ton of fish. We caught a bunch of blues. We caught some sea bass.

We caught some porgies. And then we caught this thing. I saw this come out and I was like,

what is this? Do we catch an alien? I mean, this thing, it doesn't even look like a fish.

It's just the weirdest thing I've ever seen. And the guy who's captain of the ship told me,

I would actually ask, for those you listen, put a message in the chat and see if you can figure out what fish this is. At the end, we'll tell you which one it is. But amazing looking fish, definitely not something to eat.

As Doug was saying before the show, Doug, what do you do with this? Do you eat this?

According to what I can see, yeah, it's perfectly good to eat. They don't really sell you

very well on it. There's like, oh, it's a lot of people like it as bait, not the most popular fish, excellent addition of protein

to soups and stews.

Here's my rule of thumb.

If the way they sell this is slamming it into a broth with a lot of other flavors, it's

basically saying, yeah, it's not going to kill you, but you probably don't want to make a steak
