So says the prosecution in today's nexium trial.

That happened to me this morning.

I was sent to the overflow room, but I was in good company with Forbes, Rader Online,

BuzzFeed, Frank Parlato, and former Nexium prosecutor Kevin Trowell was also in the overflow

room with me. And of course, I sat next to the always delightful Melissa Roberto of Rader Online,

and we had a interesting chat, remembering back to the early days when there were many defendants.

Now, Keith Rennary stands alone on the first day of his trial.

And we watched on large screens, one large projection, many TV screens in this overflow courtroom.

It started out with Judge Garifis telling the jury what to expect,

explaining some of the vocabulary that they are going to hear in this trial such as what does

objection mean what does sustained mean what does it mean when I refer to counsel that was all

explained to the jury an interesting fact was that Judge Garifus will not be wearing a robe for much of this trial,

not because he does not think that this trial is important, he does, he just finds robes uncomfortable.

So that was also explained.

So Keith Renary is facing racketeering conspiracy, 14 counts of racketeering, including IDs, theft, sex trafficking, extortion, sex exploitation of a child, possession of child pornography, visa fraud.

The list is extensive.

And yet he is choosing instead to ignore the pleas of his counsel, that is the rumor,
