0:12.8	Well you may have heard me say many, many times over the years, people don't change who
0:17.0	they are but they may become a better version of themselves.
0:21.6	Basically a liar and a cheater, typically that's just the way they are, because character is destiny.
0:28.6	By their deeds, shall you know them.
0:32.6	So this particular email is from a viewer who spent basically most of the last year with a,
0:40.3	I'm sure, a hot 24 year old and he was trying to change her and our toxic behavior.
0:47.3	And now obviously he's finally broken up and realized that he also lost, as he says, he lost himself in the process,
0:57.2	but he's wondering, it's like, why did he stay so long when he, quite frankly, he knew better?
1:05.9	So again, we tend to project our fantasy of what we want onto the person that we're with or we're dating or we're trying to date.
1:14.3	And since human beings, we make our decisions based upon our emotions, then we use logic and reason to justify those decisions.
1:22.0	So when you meet in the beginning and you project your fantasy, it's disconcerting to find out that they're not going to actually
1:30.0	live up to your fantasy. And then usually by the time the average person finds out about it,
1:36.2	they're past or in the honeymoon period, the infatuation period, or it starts to wear off.
1:42.5	And now they're just many months or years down the road.
1:45.5	And they realize that this person is not going to change who they are.
1:49.6	They may become a little bit better.
1:52.0	Like in this case, she's toxic.
