Yes. And today we are speaking with Scots. Is it Violet? Violet? How do you say the last name? Violet.

0:21.0

Scott V. Let of Blue Mountain Bigfoot Research. So to kick things off, can you just explain to us what your organization does exactly?

0:32.0

Actually, we are a scientific organization that is out to classify and register the American primate that's walking in the woods today.

0:46.0

So American primate meaning I guess what most people would refer to as Bigfoot Sasquatch? Yes.

0:54.0

Cool. So how long have you been doing this? And I guess what made you essentially dedicate your life to tracking this?

1:04.0

Well, I actually what got me into this was I have a degree in anthropology and my expertise is in Native American culture.

1:15.0

And what got me into it was I've worked with Native American tribes from all over the United States. But particularly I spent a few years with the Miwok tribe in Central California.

1:27.0

And they're in the assembly valley area. And I started looking at pictographs and petroglyphs that they had in their area.

1:38.0

And there was one that I didn't recognize because I learned how to read them in college. But I was looking at this one and go, what is this?

1:46.0

And they said, well, that's a Yaya Lee in their language. And I said, what's that in our language? And they go, well, it's Bigfoot, Harry man.

1:54.0

And I'm like, oh, okay. So that's real. And they said, yes, absolutely. That's real. And the pictograph I was looking at was like 500 years old.

2:05.0

And we started finding another ones that were like 1500 years old that were pictographs of Bigfoot. And I started researching with other tribes. And I walked over 175 different Native tribes that have Bigfoot legends. And I said, well, they got to be something to this.

2:22.0

So I started looking into the Bigfoot thing about 25 years ago and started finding stories from other people. And when I, when I launched my website and I got a Facebook page and I got logos all over my truck and people started sharing stories with me.

2:41.0

I started correlating the Native American stories with the modern day stories and they were matching up. So I thought, well, there's got to be something to this. This legend's got to be real. So two years ago, I actually saw one in the woods for the first time.

2:56.0

Yes. So you saw Bigfoot.

2:58.0

Yeah, yeah, after 25 years of looking, so they're pretty elusive. But yeah, I saw one two years ago.

3:07.0

Where were you and like, what did it look like? Because I know, like, I mean, I am not that familiar with Bigfoot, but I know that, you know, the legend is that it's tall, like, seven, eight feet tall or something like that and walks like a human, but looks like a primate. So what was it?

3:23.0

Can you just like describe this entire encounter and where it was?

3:26.0

Okay. Yeah. We were in, we were in the Blue Mountains in Eastern Oregon and the Walawe Whitman National Forest.

3:37.0

What led me to it was I received several, like, 15 reports from people all within the two week period. And I'm like, oh, okay. So that's probably where they're at right now.

3:51.0

So we, we trucked up the woods and spent every day there for three or four days. And then I was hiking along a trail and we smoked this really bad smell, which I have heard described to me by I've never smoked it before.
