Listen, we're about to start part six of our parable sermon series.

And what this whole message is designed to do is to get us to be people, number one, who live with eternity in mind.

And number two, everything that the Lord gives us is for his glory.

I believe it's going to bless your life.

Thank you. us is for his glory. I believe it's going to bless your life. Let's go. There are two scriptures that are going to serve as a flight attendant to get this sermonic presentation to reach a cruising altitude of life change, surrender,

and repentance. And that first scripture is in Psalms 39, verse 4. Notice what the psalmist says.

He says, Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be remind me that my days are numbered how fleeting my life is

then he goes on to say again in Psalms 90 verse 12,

teach us, somebody say teach us, not entertain us, not lie to us, not profit lie to us, not give you sugar-coated content,

teach us to realize the brevity, meaning how brief, teach us to realize the brevity meaning how brief teach us to realize the brevity of life why

so that we may grow in wisdom when you understand that your life is like a vapor here one minute

gone the next and the cemetery is not just filled with old people.

When you understand that your life is brief, that should create a hunger to live your days with

wisdom. So God, in this moment, we thank you for being sovereign. We thank you for being a wonderful Father.

Just for waking us up today to see another day, a day that we never saw before, for the

gift of life we have a thank you on our lips.

So we say thank you.

Father, thank you that the birds already gave you worship.

The squirrels already gave you worship everything in nature

recognizes that you're worthy to be praised forgive us for not giving you the praise that's due
