Millionaires are CRAZY.

Myself included.

I should know because I’ve met over 1000+ millionaires.

And if you want to be one, then here’s what you need to know about HOW they think.

Millionaires look crazy to normal people because they do things normal people wouldn’t And they’re willing to go change it.

Here’s why this matters: If you don’t see things differently…

You’ll never see the opportunity to improve it.

And if you act like everyone else…

You’ll have a life like everyone else.

I don’t want that for you.

That’s why in today’s episode, I’m sharing the 6 traits ALL millionaires have in common.

Welcome to the growth stacking podcast. This is Dan Martel. I met over a thousand millionaires,

0:10.5

and they all had these six traits. So what's a millionaire in my books? Well, first off,

0:15.9

I'll tell you what it's not. It's not somebody's got a million bucks in paper value because they raise a bunch of money on a valuation that all their friends just kind of agreed on. It's not somebody's got a million bucks in paper value because they raise a bunch of money

0:21.8

on a valuation that all their friends just kind of agreed on. It's not somebody's got a million

0:25.7

dollars on a balance sheet. It's definitely not somebody's got a million dollars in equity in their

0:29.5

home. It's not somebody that's got a million dollar revenue business. For me, a real millionaire

0:34.3

is somebody's got a million dollars in cash in their bank account after

0:38.8

taxes. So now that we got that out of the way, number one is millionaires are crazy.

0:43.8

I've met so many millionaires that are wacky, crazy, big dreamers. I mean, Travis Kalanick

0:49.9

from Uber, Richard Branson, Mark Cuban, you name it. There's all something about them that makes them a little wacky. They're kind of like a mad scientist. They say, I don't agree with 99% of the people that are doing this. I'm willing to go change. See, what I've learned is wealthy people are unreasonable. They look at the world and they go, that is unreasonable. I'm going to change it. Many ways, rich people are weird. Weird is rich and normal is poor. So most millionaires, honestly, including myself, were a little crazy. And the only reason that it works is because of number two, which is millionaires think they deserve it. I remember one time I was at an event and I met a guy and I was asking him what he did. He was a coach.

1:27.9

He works with a lot of finance people and what do you charge people? And he goes, well, I only work with a handful of people at a time and it's a million dollars to work with me. People pay him a million dollars. But the way he said, he said it with confidence, certainty, conviction. Like he said it as if somebody else said it's 25 grand to hire me as a coach.

1:46.2

And this is what I realized.

1:47.7

People... certainty, conviction. Like he said it as if somebody else said,

1:44.2

it's 25 grand to hire me as a coach.

1:46.2

And this is what I realize.

1:47.7

People that are wealthy,

1:49.1

they get there because they think they deserve it.

1:51.1

See, you'll never get a penny more than you think you deserve.

1:53.9

But the only way you can think you deserve it

1:56.1

and actually be successful is to take massive action,

1:59.3

which is number three, millionaires are risk

2:02.1

takers. So when Elon Ma started Tesla, he said this publicly, that he only gave himself a 30%
