For to this, you were called.

So we were called to the one.

Because Christ also suffered for us.

We were called to suffer.

We were called to suffer like Jesus Christ.

Now suffering for Christ, number one, it's necessary in every Christian person.

In the Christian life, there has to be suffering in order to stretch, to grow, to develop, and to mature.

Let's join Roll Rees now in 1st Peter 2, beginning in verse 21.

He's going to be speaking about the glory that we can have through suffering.

That's something that a lot of people don't like to hear.

That Christians do suffer.

And Peter was one of these guys that was writing to these Christians in Rome.

They were facing major, major tribulation to the Roman government.

And it's interesting that as Peter is writing here, let's check it out at the beginning of chapter 2, verse 21.

As he's writing here, Peter's mind wants to take us back to Christ and his sufferings to take you back to when I was with Jesus
