The oldest daughter or the daughter of an immigrant household or a daughter generally, even before she's born, there's a saying of like, you know, whatever you do as the eldest, the rest will follow.

That is a lot of pressure because for so long I've made decisions in a way where I feel like I had to make one decision and that decision had to carry me in life.

I make this one decision, then it's other decision, impact another decision and then it all impact my sibling.

Then it all impact everyone around me and I'm meant to be the good example.

raise our daughters with so much judgment, we're raising them into believing that everything that

they do from the ages of 16 or 15, that is what's going to carry them.

And that is like a marker for them for the rest of their life.

And I always think there's a community that's meant to be about forgiveness and mercy, like we're not really showing it to one another.
