I really find comfort in knowing that pain does not mean God hates you, because if he could do so to his most beloved, then who am I to say, well, God, you don't love me because you're breaking my heart? Who am I to tell around and say, your plan is incorrect? There's a line from like a poem and it says, the knowledge of Allah has helped me to not ask too many questions.

There is a really beautiful serenity in surrender. Surrender doesn't mean suddenly nothing hurts.

It could possibly hurt even more but it's just the fact that there's no more friction between you and what's written.

Like a form of surrender is knowing that today I may surrender, tomorrow I may

not. And it's a continuous tug of war that is only ultimately going to bring you closer to

Allah, Sufamana ta. How does one come to terms with any hardship in their life where you have to accept what is happening to you while it's happening to you?

healer, and meditation teacher to name a few. And through this conversation with

Shakira, she takes us on a very intimate journey, recalling a moment in her life that had changed

her forever, that while a baby was growing inside of her, little did she know what she was truly

preparing herself for. Shakira's story reminds us of our own moments in life, where we had asked ourselves,

is Allah angry with me? Am I not good enough? What did I do to deserve this?

Shakira and I may have each been tested differently by our creator, we have found commonalities in the process of surrendering and understanding that the pain we may be experiencing

does not mean that Allah intends to hurt us.
