A-list celebrity Bet Midler put her foot in her mouth recently when she told Twitter users

complaining about the baby formula shortage to just breastfeed. It's free and available

on demand. She was appropriately excoriated by thousands of people, many pointing out that

sometimes medical issues are a problem and some

infants are adopted and some mothers have had a mastectomy and, well, you get the drift.

She looked dumb. But the backlash is about more than that. It's about an increasing insensitivity

coming from the elitist class for the basic needs of the average American.

They suppose that their political concerns are true and genuine, while the rest of us are

just sheeple, unable to form intelligent thoughts on politics. Celebrities like Bet Midler tell us we

need to defund the police while enjoying their gated mansions and private security.

They told us we were selfish for wanting to keep our schools open during the pandemic,

while their children and loved ones enjoyed private schools and luxury tutors.

They tell us we're fearmongers for looking at empty store shelves and wondering how we will feed our babies.

Our current political woes have only a little to do with party. In Biden's America, we are engaged in a battle of classes.

There are the wealthy and privileged elite who demand to dictate our lives, and then there's the

rest of us. And the rest of us would like Bet Midler to shut up.
