Oh, Dr. Laura, thank you so much for taking my call.

I have a lot of respect for your opinion and I'm going to try to get through this call without getting emotional.

The background is this.

In 2009, my husband and I, we got two golden retrievers.

They were eight weeks old.

Brother and sister from the same litter.

Six months later, I decided to rescue a little Maltese Yorki mix.

So we had a house full of three fur babies and it's been wonderful.

In the last nine months, we put the 14 and a half year old

golden down and my best friend, my baby, four months ago. So now we're left with the sister Golden

Retriever. she's 15.

I'm having a lot of, I don't know, anxiety because I know it's any day and things like that and I already know what to expect.

So, but my real question is, I haven't traveled with my husband in probably nine years because

having three dogs and boarding them and having them get sick with

different ailments and kaleidous and worrying when you know it just wasn't worth it.

We poured our hearts full of love, our everything into these babies and you know I feel like maybe our hearts are going to be so empty and the health has already gotten quieter.

Eventually, after we do something as a couple and travel together, we're going to want to

get another dog.

We don't talk about it often because my husband isn't at the place where he can really have that conversation
