So I just got back from like a nine-day vacation.

I apologize that I did not record as many episodes as I thought I would on the trip.

I actually only recorded one.

Episode 29 was recorded on the way to California, but I ended up not having time to do more episodes

for a few reasons. I was staying at my sister's house. She has small children. My kids were

getting up early, running around with them. It was really cold outside. She lives up in, well, I would say up in the mountains with them it was really cold outside she lives up in well

I would say up in the mountains but it's called the foothills if you're from the Sacramento area

you know what that is but um it was really cold outside so I didn't really want to go out for a walk

in the wilderness and record plus we just had plans every day.

Both of our families live in the Sacramento area, so we had a lot of people to visit. I got

together with an old friend that I don't get to see very often because she was also in town

visiting her family.

We squeezed a lot into that visit.

I did get a lot of shopping done and I got a new microphone.

If you notice better sound quality, that's why I got a microphone while I was gone.

Usually when I get back from one of my shorter trips, I've told

you guys that I go on a business trip with my husband about once a month. And usually when I get

back, I start doing laundry right away and I just kind of don't miss a beat on my housework.

But I feel like this vacation took a lot out of me.

I wasn't getting as much sleep.
