Hey, Dr. Laura. Hey, I just wanted to thank you so much. You are so valuable to this world. I'm the first woman in my family at 26 and not have any babies out of woodblock and not be shacking up.

So excellent. God, I'm pleased. What's happening now?

So I am going home for the holidays and I've noticed I have the same anxiety right before I go about leaving.

And it's because I really love my grandparents. They helped raise me and sometimes I don't even want to like take their calls just because it's like I'm always thinking about like losing them.

And so I was thinking about getting a gift for them like what can I give them for Christmas that's really going to show how much I love them and I'm just so thankful for them and like I want to honor them.

And at the same time, it just feels like there's just nothing that I can do to really to really show them apart from spending time with them.

And now I'm like anxious again because I'm like, I hate leaving. And I don't know if this is normal. I've never had older people in my family that I've lost before and I know they're not gone yet, but it's just all of these feelings. I don't really know what to do with.

I had a discussion this morning with my bestest friend, bestest friend.

And she talked about going shopping. She's got a huge family, a million and a half grandkids. She's got a huge family.

Lots of sisters, brothers, all kinds of people in her family. And she was talking about Christmas shopping.

And I said, hmm, I'm glad you brought that up.

I would prefer we not buy presents for like birthdays and Christmas anymore.

She said, why? And I said, I know you love and care about me.

That's your gift every day because we talk a zillion times a week.

And I said, and the best gift I can give you is the fact that I love and care about you. And we both show it all the time.

So there's really nothing you can buy me that would eclipse that.

Of course, she had to want to open me on the phone, right? She said, well, you know me, I like to monogram things.

I'm probably going to end up, even if it's tissue paper, it'll be monogram.

I brought up that up because it just happened a few hours ago.

And you're talking and you said, well, other than spending time with them, that is the only gift they want.
