0:13.0	Hi, Dr. Laura. I'm a long time listener. I grew up listening to you in the back of my mom's car.
0:20.0	So I'm nervous and really excited to speak with you today.
0:23.0	And I thought of calling you because they really value your opinion.

0:30.0	So my dilemma is my boyfriend and I are both 34 years old and we've been dating a little over two years.
0:40.0	We live in New York and we do not live together and I'm pretty odd about that. Thank you to you.
0:48.0	We've talked about we're at the stage of our relationship where we're talking about getting engaged and I've come at a little bit of a crossroads.
0:58.0	I'm a nurse at an academic hospital in New York City and there is a nurse practitioner program where I get tuition benefits.
1:09.0	The program would be very affordable if I were to do it through the academic hospital program.
1:19.0	Right. So the program is about two and a half years.
1:23.0	And then I would owe the hospital working for more years.
1:28.0	So I'd be looking at staying in New York for about five more years.
1:32.0	So considering that I'm 34 wanting to get married in the next year or two and having children.
1:41.0	It kind of puts my timeline that I would be probably a working mom and.
1:48.0	I'm talking to the wrong woman to support you there.
1:51.0	Don't have children if you're not going to raise them.
1:54.0	Please. They're not pets.
1:56.0	Exactly.
1:59.0	So I guess I wanted to know your opinion on.
2:03.0	If I do the program now and hold off having children until I can be a full time stay at home mother.
