Hi, Dr. Laura. I'm a long time listener. I grew up listening to you in the back of my mom's car.

So I'm nervous and really excited to speak with you today.

So my dilemma is my boyfriend and I are both 34 years old and we've been dating a little over two years.

We live in New York and we do not live together and I'm pretty odd about that. Thank you to you.

We've talked about we're at the stage of our relationship where we're talking about getting engaged and I've come at a little bit of a crossroads.

I'm a nurse at an academic hospital in New York City and there is a nurse practitioner program where I get tuition benefits.

The program would be very affordable if I were to do it through the academic hospital program.

Right. So the program is about two and a half years.

And then I would owe the hospital working for more years.

So I'd be looking at staying in New York for about five more years.
