Summary

Brianna Nellor joins Preacher Boys host, Eric Skwarczynski to discuss her youth experience and the time she spent at the New Beginnings Girls Academy. The victim of a troubled childhood, Brianna was constantly passed around from family member to family member, had run-ins with the law, and was eventually sent to the New Beginning's Girls Academy in Pace, FL. While being sent to the NBGA for the second time at around 17, she was tricked into prostitution and was being sold on Craigslist. She eventually ended up back at the New Beginnings Girls Academy, and, rather than receiving the medical and emotional treatment she needed, was used as an example and treated poorly by the staff, eventually dumped at a bus stop with no information. 0:55.3	a little bit of context about your introduction to the IFB and how you first got introduced to
1:03.2	the New Beginnings Girls Academy? I was in New Beginnings Girls Academy. I was placed there when I was
1:09.2	15 years old. It was December 26, 2006.
1:13.9	I was living in Corona, California. Just some little background. I've had a really rough upbringing.
1:21.1	Love was never an emotion that was shown to, shown to me and my adoptive family was very abusive.
1:28.6	My adoptive mom was physically abusive, and my adoptive family was very abusive. My adoptive mom was physically abusive and my adoptive dad was sexually abusive.
1:33.6	And when I was 14, I told my adoptive mom that my adoptive dad was molesting me and she didn't.
1:39.8	I think she believed me, but I don't think she wanted to believe me.
1:42.2	So she sent me away to different family members, and it didn't work ever.
1:49.8	I was very rebellious.
1:52.1	And then I started running away.
1:55.0	I was 12 years old.
