Father, as we approach this time, we believe that you have ordered our steps to be here, that

none of us is here by happenstance or by accident, but that this is your appointed place for us to be this morning.

And even this passage of scripture has been appointed by you that this would be our focus this day.

You have something very specific to say to every man in this room and to everyone

who watches over a live stream. So we ask now that you would enable us to give careful attention to your word

and to respond appropriately in Christ's name. Amen. Okay are you all hearing

first John chapter three and we are looking at the last two verses of John chapter 3, which is

verses 23 and 24. And the title of this study is commanded by God, commanded by God.
