Our next guest is Jess Jacobs, and she is an award-winning actress, a writer, producer,

philanthropist, an activist who really focuses on storytelling to advance them and our experiences

towards equity and justice. And Jess has been from a very early age,

an incredible advocate, especially around abortion. And she's going to tell us her own story

of having an abortion and really what she did with that experience. My darling, Jess Jacobs, how are you?

Hi, I'm good. How are you? I'm good. It's so good to see you. You know, we started off saying

that it feels like ages and I've talked to you for five minutes and it just feels like yesterday now.

I know. I know. It's like no time is past at all. No time has passed. And I was thinking before

as I was preparing for this podcast, I was trying to think about the first day that we met.

And from what I recall, it was at the Chamber of Commerce. And I met you for like five seconds.

And then I dragged you over to Deborah Messing and I was like,

she's an actress, you're an actress. Why don't you meet each other? Did I dream that or did that really

happen? You were on a panel with Debra about impact bombs. And I have to tell you, like I was totally

enraptured and I could tell you zero things about impact bonds to this day.

But I remember thinking that both you and Debra were just like these absolutely brilliant

storytellers, like so captivating. Again, I was like, I don't really know what they're talking about,
