I have something to admit.

I didn't always want to work in politics or be the host of my own show.

People tend to assume that I was always just interested in talking into a microphone.

Well I'm here to set the record straight.

I actually wanted to be a storm chaser.

Really?

I mean obviously I was not your average six-year-old.

I had big dreams of chasing tornadoes.

Can't you picture it?

I could have a cute pink van and I'd take you along with me.

We bring my producers and editors to.

And to be a whole thing, every storm season, we'd go stock tornadoes.

I am made for it even now.

I mean I've had breakups far scarier than a tornado.

Let me tell you.

So I can handle a little storm chasing.

Okay.

But obviously the dream kind of died and my love of radio ended up winning out.

A lot of you know the story.

It's a great one.

But the reason I was so obsessed with being a storm chaser someday is because I saw the

film Twister.
