All right, we're diving into another aspect of our identity in Jesus.

And today, the truth we're looking at is that you and I are God's adopted children.

Now many of us know the blessing of adoption firsthand.

We have friends.

My wife and I have friends who have adopted a boy from China.

We have other friends who have adopted children through the social systems in the United States

government, the welfare systems and the foster care system.

We know the blessing of adoption.

It's an amazing thing.

When a child who is without parents, who typically is in a poor or poverty leaning situation,

is brought into a family that is in a better situation and a mom and dad who don't have

children in their own or are possibly do have children of their own are able to extend

love to that child.

We know what adoption is like.
