Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. Thank you for taking the time to get

your mind aligned with the truth of God's Word. It's what God says that matters in this

world. Not what we think, not the opinions we come up with, or the philosophies we've

been taught. Not even a way of living that our family of origin may have passed on to

us. What God thinks is what matters, and getting our minds aligned with His truth enables

us to live more and more in light of His truth. Today we're looking into this issue of identity

in Christ, who we are based on what Jesus has done for us. And today I want us to focus

on this phrase, you and I are complete in Christ, or you and I are filled to fullness in Christ.

Let's look at Colossians chapter 2 verses 9 and 10. It's coming in the middle of a statement

here, but there's enough context here for us to get what he's talking about. He says,

for in him, and this is Jesus, in him, the whole fullness, pay attention to that word,

the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. And you have been filled, there's that word again,

in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. So this one's going to take a little bit of

unpacking, but man, stick with me, it is so worth it. So in Jesus, all the fullness of deity,

that word means godness, so to speak. So in him, all of God dwells bodily. So if you ever hear

anyone saying Jesus was not God, this verse is just a direct and clear contradiction of that.

All of God was and is in the person of Jesus. And when he was here on the earth walking around as

a man, he was fully God. And yet he was fully man. It's a mystery we don't understand. But moving

on, it says, and you have been filled, there's that word again, in him. So does that mean we are

full of God, just like Jesus was full of God? You might think that's what it means because it's

using similar word here in the very same context. But that last phrase helps us to mediate or

or modify what it means when it's speaking about us. It says, you've been filled in him,
