All right, today we continue in our study of our identity in Christ. And we're going to

look at the book of Philippians chapter four, verse number 13. And in that book, we find

this amazing statement. The Apostle Paul says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens

me. Now, that's a pretty extreme statement. Think about that. I can do all things.

Through Christ, who strengthens me. So Paul is saying about himself in this instance,

but also by implication about us, when we look at what Christ does for us, we are competent

and we are strong because of Jesus Christ. Now, I'm not sure because I'm not you, how

that statement impacts you when you hear it. But I know there was a season in my life when

I felt I was not very competent. Now, do you know that word, competent? It means able

to do things, able to apply skill and knowledge and wisdom to various things and come out with

a good result. That's what competence is. It's your ability to do things well. And so I struggled

at times in my life with feeling I was able to do things well. And I doubted that. But then,

I come across a passage like this and it's telling me I can do all things through Jesus
