Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. It's time for you and me to get

our minds aligned with the truth of God. And we're doing that right now, centering around

the topic of our identity in Jesus Christ. What we've received from Him by virtue of His

sacrifice on our behalf is, in large measure, a change to our very identity. We're going

to dig into that in just a moment. But I want to ask you to do me a favor right now. I

of someone else's life. Thank you for doing that. Alright, let's look at John chapter

one versus 11 through 13. Again, we know we introduced this topic yesterday about you

being a child of God today. I want to flip it around a little bit and let's talk about

God being your father. The passage says this says, he Jesus came to his own and his own

people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name,

he gave the right to become children of God, who were born not of blood nor of the will

of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Friends, this is a staggering thought

to me that though I have an earthly father, though you have an earthly father, you may

not even know the person, but you know you had a flesh and blood father on this planet.

We have the opportunity. In fact, he says when we believe in the name of Jesus, we have

a right to become children of God. And we're born in a different sort of way. It's not
