Wednesday night, we're going to continue our through the Bible study.

We're going through the Gospel of John.

And as we often do, we take our study from Sunday morning from our upcoming Wednesday nights.

We're going to do that today as well as kind of a series that we're on, and we started that just a couple weeks ago.

One thing I want to say is the scenery behind me, if you've wondered why it

might change sometimes, right in the middle of a Wednesday night, it'll change. The reason why

is during the study of the Gospel John, wherever the scene is behind me, it's what's happening,

it's where we are in the Bible story. So you can kind of take note of that. In verse 22 of

chapter 10, that's where we're going to turn

today, chapter 10. But in verse 22, it says it was in Jerusalem during the Feast of Dedication,

which is Hanukkah, by the way. And it was wintertime. So that's why we have the winter he seen

here in Jerusalem. I was in Jerusalem once. It was like 65 degrees this one day. It was beautiful,

sunny, nice. The next morning, we woke up and there was six inches of snow on the ground in

Jerusalem. And that can happen in Jerusalem. It's over 3,000 feet above sea level. It's up high in

the mountains, Jerusalem is. So this is during the wintertime, Jesus in Jerusalem. And this is where he's making these,

in the Gospel of John, these great declarations. We call them the I am statements. And we've been

studying that for now a couple of weeks, the I am statements. Where do we get that idea? Well,

the I am, the name of God in the Old Testament,

we learned that in Exodus chapter 3, verse 14.

And God said to Moses, I am that I am.

And he said, thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel,

I am, hath sent me to you.
