Well, scary if you're one that plays games with your spirituality,

if you're one who puts up a good front but has a dark heart.

Today, we will look at the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts chapter 5.

This is a powerful story about hypocrisy. But it is also a story that has caused great confusion.

Let's now join Pastor John for our study and see what the Lord wants to teach us through this story.

Acts chapter 5.

But a certain man named Ananias with Sapp Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, and kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the Apostle's feet.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost

and to keep back part of the price of the land? While it remained, was it not thine own? After it was

sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?

Thou hast not lied unto men but unto God.

And Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and gave up the ghost.
