More than three decades after a Kentucky woman, Anna Lee Manning, disappeared.

Authorities have arrested

her husband and his mother in connection to what investigators now believe was her murder.

59-year-old Anthony Blaine Manning of Harrodsburg was indicted May 18th on charges of murder,

tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

His mother, 76-year-old Barbara Ann Manning, was also indicted on charges of complicity.

The arrest come as investigators searched a property owned by Barbara Manning, digging holes in the yard. Investigators have not confirmed whether human remains have been found. Anna, who was 23 at the time, was last seen in the fall of 1992. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Person's system, she was standing out front of a jewelry shop with a white man and called out to her aunt, Elsie Williams, saying that she had something to tell her later, but Anna never arrived. Williams alleged Anthony Manning had been abusive during his relationship with Anna and said she had concerns about him early on.
