Summary
Now what? It’s the inevitable question we all ask ourselves after we complete any race — whether it’s a 5K or a marathon. Often times, crossing that finish line is a gateway to all sorts of feelings, many of them difficult to handle. In today’s #hurdlemoment, I talk about what I call the “post-marathon blues” (PMB). Those hard-to-handle emotions that come once you’ve tackled your big crazy goal, often associated sentences like “I can’t stop eating” and “I feel like I have no purpose now.” I touch on different strategies you can use to manage PMB, and the best way to proceed to come out on the other side a more productive, happier person.

| 0:07.6 | everyone from entrepreneurs to top CEOs and athletes about how they've gotten through tough times, |
| 0:12.9 | hurdles of sorts, by leaning into wellness. I'm going to be honest with you. I probably started |

| 0:49.0 | about how to navigate what's going on in your mind, how to downshift after a really intense training cycle, |
| 0:56.4 | and how to treat yourself with a little bit of kindness. If you just conquered a marathon, |
| 1:01.6 | no matter what your pace was, no matter what your goals were, you went through a lot. And that |
| 1:07.7 | is something to be celebrated. And just like something like a wedding for example you |
| 1:14.0 | prep so much for this one big day and then within a matter of hours all that work and the day |
| 1:22.1 | it's behind you it's normal to feel like you suddenly lack a little bit of purpose, that you feel |
| 1:30.2 | and inspired. Trust me, that is 100% how I feel now. But I keep reminding myself and we'll get |
| 1:37.4 | into this in today's episode that you had goals like this before. You conquered them before. |
| 1:43.0 | And now you have the opportunity to find |
| 1:44.8 | something new, to set your sights on something exciting and go after that too. You know the drill |
| 1:52.0 | at Emily Abadi at Hurdle Podcast. If you have a hurdle moment of your own to share, if you feel |
| 1:57.7 | what I'm feeling, can I get an amen? |
