It was a no brainer for me to kick things off on the Hurtle Moment front with kind of a

rundown answering your questions about injury and how I have been navigating life coming back from

Plantarvasciitis. A few little bits of housekeeping up front. Plantarvasciitis, what is it? It's

essentially inflammation of the tendon that goes along the bottom of your foot that causes pain

traditionally at the heel insertion. I have been dealing with it on and off for years. I was

able to train for the London marathon last year without pain and then two weeks before wayum, bam,

it was like, hi, I am here, I am present and I'm going to make this hell for you. So that's exactly

what happened. I was able to run the marathon and have been recovering from this unexpected

frustrating foot injury ever since. In January of this year, I took some dedicated time off to really

treat the issue and I'll talk about what that treatment looks like in today's episode.

And after getting the clear from my PT, I finally signed up for another marathon. I am looking

forward to the Berlin marathon at the end of September this year. And so I have been sharing that
