All right, everybody, welcome back to another 10-minute Tuesday and this week.

We're getting into a time of the year, especially for us guys in the north that are hunting

called the October lull. And the October lull is, it's painful at times. And every year it happens

pretty much without fail. The weather sucks in October. And so you get that first part of the year where

duck opener happens and all those birds become educated. You can, it's like World War III

out in the lakes. And October hits and these birds are educated. They're moving out of town.

We don't really have new birds yet because it's, what is it, Carter, 80 degrees.

Yeah, it'll be 80 degrees this weekend.

It's bad.

It's really bad.

This is the time of year that if you hunt ducks in Minnesota, it makes you not want to hunt ducks anymore.

It's just, there's almost nothing you can do.

So I want to talk a little bit about what things you can do during October to make your

season at least a little bit more exciting.

And I think it's a really good time of the year to start considering different options for

the way that you hunt.

I'm not talking about trying anything too crazy necessarily, but you probably wouldn't hunt a lot of loaf hunts throughout the rest of the year.

You'd probably be looking for a morning or an afternoon feed or you're setting up on water in the morning.

That's pretty common for most guys, especially at least up here.

You're not really hunting a lot of loaves.

I think October is a great time to consider
