Sometimes in the high backcountry when you finally get a shot it can be a really dicey situation.

Imagine hanging over an almost cliff on a really steep hillside where you have to dig your

toes into the rubble to keep from sliding down and your bipod is sinking into that rubble in front of you

and almost helping keep you on that slope as you edge forward and try and get your crosshairs onto a bear sleeping at the bottom of that cliff over 200 yards below.

and our Northwest Montana backcountry hunt with limitless outdoors.

Couple of amazing backcountry woodsmen that I'd never met before

was a real pleasure to hunt with them.

Now this is in a few segments we recorded the first one on the mountain in Montana

The second day

We hope to record several

consecutive short segments and piece them all together, but the

hunt became so rigorous, we were unable to do that. So we regrouped after the hunt, got on Skype and recorded the rest of our

adventure to share with you. Without further ado, let's kick it off on the

mountain. Okay.

It's on.

All right, we are here at about 5,000 feet in northwestern Montana.

We're about 44 miles south of the Canada border and while 5,000 feet doesn't sound very high

We started at 2,400 feet yesterday and hiked in 8.4 miles, about 5.7 of that was on a good trail and then we bushwhacked the rest.

And Adam ended up shooting his first Black bear, not long before dark. So we're using a new rifle
