Ukraine's leader Vladimir Zelensky has called on international aid groups to take immediate

action to help the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians affected by the destruction of a vital dam

on Tuesday.

Flood waters submerged dozens of towns and villages in parts of southern Ukraine,

leaving many without access to clean drinking water.

On top of that, thousands of hectares of agricultural land has been destroyed,

striking at the heart of concerns about global food security.

One of the worst affected areas has been hair-son,

which was captured by the Russians before being liberated by the Ukrainians.
