A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

Political tension, financial instability, widespread violence, and the list goes on and on. All of this is a

I think most of us would put all kinds of sins of the flesh and terrible wicked

things and immorality. But as you study scripture, you find that it is often the sins of the

spirit that are most grievous to the Holy Spirit. Because like a cancer that grows beneath the

surface until it's too late, it grows undetected. It's deceptive and destructive.

These sins of the spirit tend to do the greatest damage. We've come to one of those today

and to another great principle of being ready for revival. We've talked about expectancy and

responsiveness and attentiveness and obedience and patience. And now we come to humility.

You know, when you start talking about humility, you get under conviction because we're all

full of ourselves, every one of us. You're listening to a proud man today. And I'm speaking to

proud people today because all of us have what scripture calls the pride of life

and it has to die over and over and over again.
