Hey friends, my day is rocking right along. I hope yours is. We are into it. We are already

walking the path that the Lord has laid out for us. And I hope that this edition in the

morning mindset can help you get your mind aligned with God's truth so that you can live

in a way that He wants you to live. Today we're going to be looking at the issue of humility

before honor. And this comes down to a very fundamental desire all of us have as human

the details. Alright, Proverbs 15, 33 is where we're going to be looking today. It says

the fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom and humility comes before honor. Now all

of us have a fundamental human desire to be respected and to be honored. We want others

to think well of us. We want others to appreciate the contributions we make and the things

we do in the world. And we go to great lengths to ensure that that happens. We get education

to learn how to do specific things in a specific field so that we can become competent in that

field and excel in that field. We do various activities and we practice and we work hard

to become better at that thing so we can be proficient and others can see and enjoy

and benefit from the things that we've done. Those are all forms of honor. We're wanting

our efforts to make a difference and we're wanting others to recognize those efforts

and that they're making a difference. I don't think there's anything wrong with any

of that. God has made us to be contributors to the way the world works. And as believers

in Christ, we're to be contributors to the kingdom of God and advancing his kingdom purposes
