2 Chronicles 7 this is a very familiar portion of scripture but we certainly haven't

exhausted all the light and truth out of any verse of scripture second chronicle 7 verse 14

the Lord is speaking here and the Lord said if if my people, my people, well, today under the new covenant, we're

his people.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will

I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now, this verse is talking about healing, among other things.

Unless you think that he's just talking about some symbolic form of healing, all you'd have to do is back up in the 13th verse and see that the word pestilence is used there.

And, of course, I realize sometimes folk think that means pests like ants or bugs or something, but pestilence means plagues.

Plague after plague.

He's talking about physical disease, and he's talking about judgment.

And so he said if you go back and read the whole portion of scripture, if drought was occurring, if the enemy was attacking the land,

and then he mentions among other things, if there's disease, if there's plague going through the land, he said, this is

what you do.

If my people, which are called by my name, will, what's the first thing he told them to do?

Humble themselves.

And pray, seek my face.

Turn from the wicked ways.

I will hear from heaven.

I will forgive and I will heal.

Praise God.

How many believe he's still in the hearing business?
