Brad Meltzer is a NY Times Bestselling fiction and non-fiction author who also hosts Brad Meltzer's Lost History and Brad Meltzer's Decoded, both on the History Channel. He also has a children's book series, Ordinary People Change the World. He believes kids will learn history if we make history more human and show them that ordinary people (just like them) from the past did great things.
Brad tells Daphne and Hilaria about how he gets his own children (and your kids) to appreciate history for its humanity. He also explains how many of his protagonists were characters he created to excite his kids about history. He says children become intrigued when the character is an everyday ordinary person that accomplishes great things. He encourages everyone to be more thoughtful and more civil. Come for the history, but stay for the amazing story about former President, George H.W. Bush.
Favorite Things:
Hilaria: Petite 'n Pretty Makeup for Kids
Daphne: Reply All Podcast, episode #158 The Case of the Missing Hit
Brad: Jeni's Ice Cream
