Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Aaron Reynolds, humorist, writer, and creator of the famous and infamous effin birds content beaimuth.

He is also the author of a new book, Effin Birds, a field guide to identification.

It's being published by Penguin Random House, appropriately.

It's coming out in October, and everyone who has seen it in advance

So, Aaron, I've been a fan of yours for a couple of years now, maybe even since before I started this podcast.

I think you're hilarious, and while I enjoy your work, I'm not quite sure if I can explain it to my listeners.

could you just explain what it is that you do?

It's, I always find it hard to explain it. I find it hard to explain and make it sound good at the same time.

Does that make sense? Yes. Because it's such a reductive and silly idea.

But what FN Birds is at its core is me combining beautiful vintage woodcuts of birds

with the horror of how I feel every day, usually in a vulgargar vulgar manner.
