I'm your host, Matt Carter, and today we're going to take an adventure with Jimmy Ryan.

Jimmy's the original lead singer of Haste the Day, and he's in a rare category in which his band

was a breakout band in the pinnacle of the tooth and nail solid state golden age,

but Jimmy was not a tooth and nail kid.

The rest of his band certainly were.

They were youth group kids from a nice Indianapolis suburb when they joined forces with Jimmy,

who was also considerably older than them, and for better or worse became the tour dad and even though jimmy

didn't grow up a tooth-and-nail kid he was a perfect fit to continue the long tradition of solid

state bands who would bring intensity to the mission of mosh and ministry so i think you will enjoy

this episode it gives a really great look into the personality.
