When I'm speaking about what we have in common as highly sensitive people, I'm speaking in

general and broad terms. That being said, I have a theory about highly sensitive people.

Simply, we are born into family systems that seem to lack empathy, maturity, and emotional

intelligence and true seeking. Now, I believe that as highly sensitive people, we're also born with

this natural ability to be little observers. That the trauma, the dysfunction, or the neglect that

many of us go through as children, it takes that natural observer's quality, that natural

high sensitivity that our nervous systems are born with and takes us from aware to hyper-aware

sensorarily. And because we are aware of what is lacking in our family systems,

we also step into the space of overcompensating from a very young age, hence the development of our
