I think the versatility will help in some of that, Nicky.

What's so much fun about coaching Duran, he's big enough to be a three-four end.

You guys saw some of that here early on.

He's got the strength that can play inside a nose tackle and quickness to move.

So to see J.K. and he and Johnny, and how do we feature them on the field together some?

Having the three of those together, that excites me, honestly.

These are guys that really love to battle and compete.

And so because they're versatile, it gives Durante even more options and, you know, how to deploy and how to match up guys.

So it's a big deal for us.

Dan Quinn talking about Dururan Payne with the media yesterday.

You know, Durante Jones last year as a part of Brian Flores' defensive staff, they played

a base 3-4 defense and they played their base defense more than anybody did

in the NFL. So they were in base a significant percentage of the time, meaning that even though

you typically don't see a lot of base defense in the NFL, you see a lot of sub-packages

become the majority. You know, those sub-packages include, you know,

typically an extra defensive back, sometimes two extra defensive backs,

nickel or dime.

But obviously they kind of feel like Duran's got a chance to be,

and I would say, you know, a three-four defense event.

Now, the three-four defense events last year for Minnesota were, you know, guys like Jonathan Allen. Jonathan

Allen, remember Minnesota traded for, and ultimately did not have a great season. So they must

think more of Duran Payne's talent to be a 3-4
