If you live here in Western Washington, let me state the obvious.

It snowed.

And in some cases, it is still snowing.

Now, it's not the biggest snowfall in the world, but it was enough to cause problems, right?

School closures and delays, grounded flights at C-Tac, crashes on I-90,

closures at Snowqualmie Pass, all the usual fallout for Mother Nature's dandruff.

But in spite of all of the complications that come from snowfall, some people love the snow.

I am not one of those people.

But while we're dealing with the late winter snow, Hawaii, they're dealing with late winter rain and not a few drops here and there.

We're talking torrential rains and life-threatening flash flooding.

They've already declared a state of emergency.

And in addition to heavy rains, they're expecting 80 mile per hour wind gusts and heavy snow on some of the highest summits.

And then down the road in Phoenix, they're not worried about snow or rain.

It's already in the 90s, and next week, they'll be hitting 100 degrees for a few days straight.

That's about two months ahead of the Phoenix schedule. Now,

if you like snow and rain and heat, consider moving to Washington, D.C. And an 18-hour period,

our nation's capital had record heat, thunderstorms, then snow, and now sunshine. Put it this way.
