It's like getting a call from an unknown number.

You're not sure you feel like dealing with whatever unsolicited disturbance awaits you.

Now, sometimes that attitude is validated. We go to Virginia, where our family was left terrorized

after a group of Halloween masked men tried to open their front door and game entry. Keep in mind,

they knocked first, and then it got creepier from there, and now the police are involved.

Now, closer to home here in Seattle, local resident won Mary Brunkow.

She got a knock on her front door at 4 o'clock in the morning.

Now, who's knocking on her door at the proverbial middle of the night?

That would be the Associated Press, letting her know that she'd won this year's Nobel Prize

for Medicine. Now, it seems

kind of crazy that the AP did

the same thing be next morning

at 6 o'clock in the morning down in California

to let a different winner know

that they'd gotten the Nobel Prize for

physics, and neither of these were a joke.

Apparently, that's how Nobel let you know.

Whatever time they decide, they knock on your door, wake your ass up, and tell you.

Now, as far as that kind of stuff goes, I wouldn't have thought that the people Nobel knocked on your door early in the morning.
