We've spent the last 100 years trying to accelerate water off the land.

Oh yeah, because if there was water on it we couldn't do anything with it.

Right.

Now we're switching that and trying to slow water down, hold that water deep into the

soil not on the surface, you don't want surface runoff and the benefit of all of

that is you know is magic it's like magic and again it's you know yeah you like to

fish yes you like to hunt but the broad public benefit is beyond. It is useless.

I hadn't thought about that. That's true. That's a truly domestic economy.

I mean this is such a keystone to our country. I wrote this story one time and I said it don't matter if you're exhausted in the traffic like in

Atlanta and you got your kids you put it all on rubber and you can be in a national

forest camped out eating ramen noodles if that's what it takes right right? That story right there has got to be like a creation myth

of American public clans and the equality of experience.
