biblically about today is the phrase wives submit to your husbands. This is what we want to understand and I want you to stick with me all the way to the end because in this message I'm even going to cover the topic

biblically of when a wife should go against what her husband says because I think we have a

scriptural example of that along with trying to really seriously take this

idea of biblical submission and apply it into our marriages.

Okay, so open your Bibles up to 1 Peter Chapter 3,

1 Peter Chapter 3, and we have been dealing with one controversial subject after another on

Sunday nights we dealt with submission to government and when and how to

rebel we dealt with the issue of slavery in the Bible and did a whole thing on that.

Then we did submission to masters or employers and employees and that kind of submission.

And now we're going to just get more controversial, probably the most controversial

subject I've covered so far, at least in First Peter, because all I seem to do is controversy

on Sunday night's submission to

husbands is coming up right now. So we're going to read through the passage and I do

think that as Christians we should speak out on controversial issues because when an issue

we're facing an issue where we're believers and we have a view that the world is upset about.

We need all the more to be up front about our view so we can impact the world because the

world is wrong.

They're wrong here and we want to help them and the issue of submission and the issue of

marriage for both the husband and the wife the world does not like the

husband's calling the world does not like the wife's calling either one and it

has wrecked marriages look at the results
