And if you're like me and you were raised up in the

Homer Simpson generation then you really don't know what it means to be a man

unless you let the word of God be the example for you. I mean Jesus is our example for our marriages and that

light turning on when you see that his self-sacrificial love is your calling

that changes everything. So let's jump into this topic and let's look at

what First Peter has to say about our marriages and our manliness.

Open your Bibles to 1 Peter, Chapter 3, verse 7, and we are talking here about the role of the husband

in marriage, and society has largely forgotten the role of the husband in marriage.

I mean they've forgotten the wife's role that's for sure.

In fact, some of society hates the wife's role as if it's a bad thing.

I mean it's a beautiful and glorious thing if you understand it correctly,

biblically.

But I think that a vague memory of the role of the wife is still in society and in our culture today.

But the husband's role is completely lost.

It seems to me that of the two roles, the one that we need to be reminded of the most is the

husband's role. the husband's role.

The husband's role is just, I mean here you've got

Homer Simpson and Marj Simpson.
