It's Thursday, March 26th, 2020. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, how to solve the DHS shutdown or not. Number two, a third time's a charm. House Dems are lukewarm on impeaching Trump. And number three, the latest from the campaign trail. a Florida upset spooks Republicans on redistricting.

We are continuing to focus on will they or won't they?

Can the Senate find a pathway forward to get out of this DHS mess?

Man, the jet fumes Senate, Republicans, Democrats are smelling them. They want to find a deal

because they want to go on a two-week recess. But so far, no final deal has been made. NADA. And we keep writing about DHS. I'd like to get off of it, to be honest with you. Brezina, I were talking about this yesterday when we're in the middle of a 40-day shutdown. The Eastern and Passover recess is coming up.

Airports are an absolute mess,

and we're

kind of at this point where Congress needs to do something or not or just go on this recess.

And- Man, that does not feel feasible, Jake. I agree. I mean, this was a hot topic of conversation

yesterday. I spoke to someone in leadership, either the speaker or something about this

yesterday, and he had, he definitely addressed it. I just can't remember if I was there or not or I read it.

The House will not stick around unless the Senate move something. The Senate's in the driver's seat here,

and they are always, the House is always on, you know, the 72-hour long call, I guess it's called,
