One of the ways that you can tell who is committed to the MAGA movement and who's not is

their willingness to embrace grievance, right? White grievance in particular. Like, white MAGA is

very much a part of this mindset that says that they are the ones, they being white people,

typically white men, but white people generally, especially the wealthy ones, but all white people for the purposes of this conversation. They have essentially embraced

an ideology that says they, out of all the racial groups that have a claim to some sort

of racist driven grievance, that they white MAGA, white Americans, are the ones who

also should be able to claim grievance. And they're doing weird

things like taking constitutional amendments, like the 14th Amendment, which we all know from both

the history, the legislative record and our exploration thereof. We all know that the 14th Amendment

was literally created to ensure that formerly enslaved black people would no longer be subjected

to slave status in America.

But today's MAGA white grievance holder is someone who now claims that the 14th Amendment

should also be used to defend white man. Yes, not just the blacks who were enslaved and their

progeny and their descendants. No, no, no, no, no. It's the white man who also

need to be protected by legislation that was specifically designed to protect black people

from white men and white racism and the white community's use of racism to force black people

to sit in a subservient enslaved status in this country. And so as a result of MAGA really making

some very powerful claims, well, very loud claims. I don't know how powerful they actually are,

but they are very, very loud about this demand that they too should be given some deference

...
