Hey, everyone. Already here with just a quick note on today's episode.

So on Monday in the patron feed, we talked about how Biden's age and assumptions about his

cognitive ability or capacity have become a major focus of the election and how the Trump

assassination attempt has inflicted that discourse. But the foundation for Monday's episode was the

conversation you're about to hear, which is B, Jules, and I's discussion about Biden's age, the term gerontocracy, and the relationship between disability or impairment and what we call the body politic.

An episode that we recorded for Death Panel patrons way back in February after Ezra Klein released his big New York Times op-ed suggesting that Biden should

step aside and kicking off this discourse that has continued into today. And when we listened back

to that episode in preparation for Monday's show, it became pretty clear that what we said here

felt perhaps more timely now than it did when it was originally released. So we wanted to make sure to bring it back front and center and into the public feed for the first time.
