about setting intentions and goals for a new year we thought it could be helpful to spend an episode

diving into our different processes of preparing for a new year and i think this will be one of the

places where erika and I differ a lot.

So I think we'll have differing perspectives to offer. Yes, exactly. We might both marvel at the

other one's way of going about things. Plus, we are both just embracing a gentle start to the new

year and are here to say that it is completely okay if you aren't quite sure of

your new year intentions on January 1st. So join us today for some reflection and then on our

our neighborhood updates. And today I would love to hear how your holiday season was since we haven't gotten to catch up since the holidays.

It was really relaxing, very low-key, just the four of us for the most part, just the way plans worked out.

We usually spend some of the holiday with our friends who live in California, but they had some family commitments and things going on this first time with the baby, their first Christmas with the baby.

So everybody wanted to see him.

And so we had a kind of different schedule.

So Jeremiah's parents were in town over the Christmas break.

So we saw them actually a little bit before Christmas.

And then they went on to another brother's house. But then we had most of the rest of the time to ourselves, which was so nice and relaxing. But honestly, I was like, I would have liked to have done a little something more. Like I'm in the in the space where it's like, okay, I would have liked to, you know, we don't really have a church that we like right now, but I would have liked a Christmas Eve service or I would have liked some sort of soire, you know, but overall it was really relaxing.

It was rainy and cold here, which was really nice and cozy.

We don't get the snow, obviously, here in the desert, but we can have a, you know, chilly, rainy day, which was nice.
